Moving Built Around Your Production Schedule
What Ferguson's Production Moving Services Include
Moves Scheduled Around Call Time
Early mornings, overnights, weekends, last-minute changes; Ferguson plans around your shoot schedule, not a standard moving day. Timing is confirmed in advance so the crew isn’t waiting on us.
Careful Handling of Cameras, Rigs & Set Pieces
Production equipment is expensive and often one-of-a-kind. Ferguson’s crews wrap, load, and unload with the same care your gear already gets on set; supervised handling, no rough loading, no guessing.
Multi-Location Moves Planned Around Permits
Studio lot today, location shoot tomorrow. Ferguson plans the route and timing around your permit windows and access requirements in advance, so each transition between sites is ready before the production day starts.
Storage Between Shoots
When a location wraps or a production pauses between phases, Ferguson stores equipment, props, and set materials securely until the next call time. Coordinated by the same Move Manager; one plan, not a separate booking.
Guaranteed Pricing for Production Budgets
Production budgets don’t have room for surprise charges. Every move gets a guaranteed written quote before anything is loaded; locked in, not adjusted after the fact.
Why Productions Choose Ferguson
- Guaranteed Written Quotes: Production budgets need certainty. Your quote is confirmed before anything moves and doesn’t change.
- Dedicated Move Manager: One person coordinates every logistics detail across your production; locations, timing, equipment, and access. Your team doesn’t manage the move.
- GPS-Tracked Vehicles: Ferguson sends a tracking link for every move so you always know where your equipment is between locations.
- Trained Crews for High-Value Handling: Ferguson’s crews are experienced with production equipment, props, and set pieces. Careful handling is standard, not an upgrade.
- Flexible Scheduling: Early morning, overnight, and rapid-turnaround moves are available built around your production calendar, not a standard business day.
- Secure Production Storage: Climate-controlled facilities available for equipment and set materials between shoots and production phases.
- Trusted Since 1916: Over a century of moving experience across Canada, including Vancouver and Toronto, two of the country’s busiest film production markets.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you move equipment overnight between locations?
Yes. Overnight and early-morning moves are common for productions; timing is scheduled around your call sheet, not a standard business day.
Do you work directly with the production coordinator or our locations team?
Yes. Your Move Manager works directly with whoever is running production logistics on your end; coordinator, location manager, or production office so there’s one consistent point of contact throughout the shoot.
What happens if our shoot schedule changes last minute?
Tell your Move Manager as soon as a change comes up. Ferguson plans with flexibility built in for productions specifically because schedules shift. We’ll work to accommodate the new timing where possible.
Can you move set pieces that are oversized or custom-built?
Yes. Ferguson’s crews handle oversized and custom set pieces, coordinating equipment and crew size based on what the piece requires. Flag any unusual dimensions or fragility during your initial assessment so the right crew shows up.
Do you require a minimum number of moves or a contract to work with a production?
No. Ferguson works with productions on a single move or across an entire shoot schedule. There’s no minimum commitment required to get started.
Let's Support Your Production
