Minor or cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, or small chips on an item that’s still usable) is handled separately through an appearance allowance of up to $50 per item, rather than the per-pound calculation. This isn’t full-value replacement coverage, so if you’re moving high-value items, we’d recommend speaking with your own insurance provider about additional protection. Your Move Manager can walk you through exactly how this applies to your move.
